Still Alive

Works by Lizzy Lubitsky

November 2020

Lizzy Lubitsky is an artist living and working in Phoenix. Since earning a BFA in sculpture from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, Lubitsky has exhibited numerous solo exhibitions across the country. She recently completed a residency in Spokane, Washington where she sourced scrap aluminum and vinyl from a local awning manufacturer to build a giant Lemon. The finished piece, titled “Big MEL”, is a seven-foot-tall and six-foot-wide, glowing piece of citrus that has been featured in several local exhibitions since it landed in Phoenix last year. Lubitsky’s latest exhibition, STILL ALIVE, depicts the World - inside and outside of her brain - in Lubitsky’s first complete series of paintings on canvas.
