Agustin Vargas found his roots as an architect at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Following his interest in art, especially paint, He takes painting lessons at Art-Academy of San Carlos and The Art-National Fine Arts Institute of Mexico City, Mexico, where develops his extraordinary artistic abilities. Since 1985 he has hung exhibitions in Mexico and the United States, where his fascination with nature, proportions, philosophy, and life shine through.
Agustin Vargas makes work that transports us to alternate realities, where we get captivated by the subtleties of colors, forms, brush strokes, and the artist's imagination. The golden section and architectural designs underline his paintings' compositions. Vargas captures deeply personal and emotional stories, intertwining past, present, alchemy, philosophy, pain, love, and hope in his expressive paintings. Agustin is currently working as Lead Instructor at Mesa Art Center and is an Honorary Member Watercolor Association of Morelos State, Mexico.
