46 Years of Preserving the heritage and culture of Latino and Indigenous People...
In 1975, Xicanindio was founded to be the premier cultural institution in Arizona serving Latino and Indigenous artists. 46 years later, our name has changed but our mission to nourish a greater appreciation of the cultural and spiritual heritage of the Latinx and Indigenous people of the Americas through the Arts remains the same.
Xico is one of oldest ethnic arts organizations in the United States and is a leading organization promoting Latino and Indigenous culture through art and community engagement. We have a rich network of artists, nearly 50 years of experience, and, along with our partners, an active community voice.
